The 3P model
The Sustainability of our future depends on how the People (social) acts according to the Principle (economy) in a certain Place (environment).
Intention comes from us, the people.
Action has to be done according to the principle.
Finally the product must then be at a certain place.
APEX and BAMBOO
Mr Wan related bamboo to the 7 key points of APEX of USM. Bamboo appeared to have all the 7 points of APEX which are:
The Future
Uniqueness
Sustainability
Humanity
Universality
Change
Sacrifice
Mr Wan stated that all we need is to Sacrifice in order to let the change happen.
Awakening As One (shown through video)
This video talks about healing the world through unity. To heal the world means to bring peace and harmony back to our world.
As we do not know what is ahead of us, whether good or bad, every individuals' consciousness must be raised so that change will take place.
It also talked about being selfless.
Since the capacity to change is in us, one has to change oneself to change the world.
After the video sharing,
"...existing system has to give way for change.", added Mr Wan after the video.
The Leap to 2012
Mr Wan talked about what will happen along the way to 21st December 2012 as we prepare for what is unknown to happen and the new form of development after the happening of the event.
The leap has to be made so that we are ready for what is to come in the future.
The Plan
The discussion was followed by the introduction of the plan to face 2012.
The discussion was followed by the introduction of the plan to face 2012.
The main structures of the Bamboo Research Village Square:
LAMPU (Lighthouse and Matrix Positioning Unit)
AIR (Autofloat Imbibing Reserve)
PONDOK (PolarShift and Other Natural Disaster Organization Kit)
IBU (Inter-Pondok Bastionary Unit)
All these structures will provide what we need for 2012.
Even if the prediction of 2012 happening is wrong, the structures in this research village will still function.
Thoughts of a student from Iran
It was our pleasure to have Miss Mahram, a 1st year international student from Iran to share her thoughts on what she gained throughout RUS 101 course so far.
She talked about how she discovered her inner personality when she went through every single project last 3 months.
Some of the strong statements she made were
"...the only one who can help you is you yourself."
and
"...to think in the way I've never thought before."
